Ghana takes in ex-Guantanamo Bay, Rwandan detainees






ACCRA, Ghana - Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ghana said two former Guantanamo detainees are Yemeni origin constitute two years in the West African nation, at the request of the United States.
The ministry said Wednesday that two other people in Rwanda who were tried by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda can also be installed in Ghana. He said the two were part of a group of people who were acquitted or convicted and the sentence served.



He said the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East means that also provide shelter for some displaced with their families in Ghana Syrians.

The government has said that all who come will be monitored. He said Ghana taking such measures in recognition of its responsibility as a member of the international community.
